Pierre Herme inspired delights

As you may have realised, I love, absolutely love Pierre Herme. The macarons are only the beginning.
In one of his books I came across a recipe for plum, rose cream, and clove crumble. It takes a couple of days to make but the end result is incredible! This is my version:
Little cakes, filled with plums, iced with a rose infused creamy topping sprinkled with clove crumble.

Little Pleasures in Paris

Macarons in Paris by Very Sparkle Berry

More simple pleasures, and how much simpler or more pleasurable can it get than macarons? Especially if they are made by the genius that is Pierre Herme?
My personal favourite: Mogador! An incredible mixture of milk chocolate and passion fruit.

This is one of my most treasured resources: My Edibles board on Pinterest.
I use it to plan most of my meals and am cooking my way through most of the things posted on there. In the comments below the image I post my comments on how I got on with the original recipe.

Simple Pleasures in Paris

Very Sparkle Berry adores dancing mice in repetto window

On a recent visit to Paris I just fell in love with all the little things. One of the things I love about going to a different city is noticing all the little things, all those things that one is just to busy to notice in one's home city.
In Paris I fell in love with this shop window display of mice dancing ballet.
